Israeli and Palestinian teams meet

The preparatory meeting between Israeli and Palestinian teams ended earlier today (Wednesday), February 4, 2004. The Director of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s Bureau, Dov Weisglass, and the Prime Minister’s Diplomatic Adviser, Shalom Turgeman were present for the Israeli side; Saeb Erekat, Hassan Abu Libdeh and Salah Alenan were present for the Palestinian side.
The meeting lasted approximately two hours and was held in a good and positive atmosphere. A full range of issues related to the implementation of the Roadmap were raised, this in the context of a future meeting between Prime Minister Sharon and Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Abu Ala. It was agreed that the teams would meet again in order to coordinate the prime ministers’ meeting.
