Joint Jordanian-Israeli Statement: Postponement of FM Shalom’s visit to Jordan

In a conversation that took place this afternoon on a range of issues of bilateral interest and concern, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel Silvan Shalom and Foreign Minister Marwan Muasher of Jordan decided, among other things, to postpone the visit of Minister Shalom to Jordan, planned for tomorrow.

In their conversation, the two ministers stressed the importance they attach to the strategic relations between the two countries and their shared commitment to promoting these ties to the benefit of both their peoples.

A more suitable date for the visit will be coordinated between the two sides in the near future.
