Prime Minister Ariel Sharon met with Israel’s ambassadors to European countries today at a conference at the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem.
During his visit the prime minister also observed the activities in the ministry’s Situation Room, where staffers coordinated efforts to locate, rescue, and aid victims of the disaster in Southeast Asia.
In an address to the ambassadors, Prime Minister Sharon commented on the role of Europe in the political process and on the possibilities for advancing the political process following the election in the Palestinian Authority. He also discussed the connection between the State of Israel and the Jews of the Diaspora.
