Prime Minister Ariel Sharon today (Friday), 8 October 2004, spoke with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and thanked him for the efforts that the Egyptian authorities are making, in cooperation with Israel, to evacuate killed and wounded Israelis and others from the terrorist attacks in Sinai.

Prime Minister Sharon and Egyptian President Mubarak agreed on continued cooperation regarding the evacuation of Israelis and the entry of Israeli equipment to Sinai in order to further the evacuation efforts.  They also agreed to concentrate efforts and forces in the war on terrorism, and noted that there is no difference between terrorism and terrorism, that terrorism is the main danger to the free world, and that it must be fought together wherever it may be.
