A delegation of six African Ambassadors to the UN is currently visiting Israel. The delegation includes the Ambassadors of Rwanda, Uganda, Benin, Ghana, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Cote d’Ivoire.
The purpose of the visit is to promote ties between Israel and the aforementioned African countries, both on a bilateral and multilateral level, following the discussions at the UN General Assembly and the deliberations at the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
During the visit, the Ambassadors will meet with the President of Israel, the Foreign Minister, the Science Minister and other senior officials. The delegation will also hold working meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and will visit the Yad Vashem Holocaust Martyrs and Heroes Remembrance Authority.
