Working groups established ahead of ICJ security fence deliberations

Senior Defense Ministry, Foreign Ministry and Justice Ministry officials, as well as jurists specializing in international law, today (Wednesday), January 7, 2004, held discussions in Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s Bureau on Israel’s preparations ahead of the International Court of Justice in the Hague’s deliberations on the security fence.

It was decided to establish working groups to focus on the diplomatic, legal, security-intelligence and informational aspects of the issue. It was further decided that the working groups would hold contacts and consultations with various international diplomatic officials and with experts in international law.
