FM Shalom will meet in London with Prime Minister Tony Blair and Foreign Secretary Jack Straw.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Silvan Shalom departed last night for an official visit to Great Britain where he will meet with Prime Minister Tony Blair and Foreign Secretary Jack Straw. FM Shalom will visit the site of the tragic attacks in London and lay a wreath in commemoration of the victims on behalf of the people of Israel.
During his meetings, Shalom will express his opposition to Hamas running in Legislative Council elections and being part of the Palestinian Authority. Shalom will also address the upcoming disengagement and make clear that Israel will not disengage under fire.
FM Shalom’s meeting with Tony Blair is scheduled to take place today and his meeting with Foreign Secretary Straw is slated for tomorrow, July 26, and will be followed by a joint press conference.
