FM Silvan Shalom met with King Abdullah II of Jordan in the framework of the World Economic Forum held in Jordan.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Silvan Shalom met with King Abdullah II of Jordan in the framework of the World Economic Forum held on the Jordanian shore of the Dead Sea on May 20-22, 2005.
At the meeting, the King said to the Foreign Minister, "The time has come to shake the dust off the two states’ joint projects." Mr. Shalom responded that it is time to resume the activities of the trilateral Israel-US-Jordan committee dealing with economic projects.
The Israeli Foreign Minister expressed concern that Hamas will gather strength after the elections in the Palestinian Authority. He also raised the subjects of dismantling terrorist infrastructures, the Philadelphi route, and house demolitions. King Abdullah said to Foreign Minister Shalom that in the course of the next 24 hours, he will be meeting with Abu Mazen and will discuss these issues with him.
Foreign Minister Shalom also met with Jordanian Foreign Minister Farouq Kasrawi.
