Foreign Minister Ignacio Walker of Chile will arrive in Israel for a visit.

The Foreign Minister of Chile, Ignacio Walker, will arrive in Israel for a visit on Sunday, March 27, as a guest of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom.

During the course of the visit, Minister Walker will meet with the President of Israel Moshe Katsav, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, Vice Premier Shimon Peres, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom and Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Industry, Trade and Labor Ehud Olmert. He will visit the Yad Vashem Holocaust Martyrs and Heroes Remembrance Authority, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

This is the first time that a foreign minister from Chile has paid an official visit to Israel. During the visit, the foreign minister and his counterparts will discuss bilateral political and economic issues on the agenda.
