An Israeli woman, Dana Galkowicz, 22, of Kibbutz Bror Hayil, was killed and another Israeli lightly wounded yesterday (Thursday) in an Israeli town north of the Gaza Strip after Palestinians launched four Kassam rockets from the town of Beit Hanun, damaging a military vehicle. Three additional apparent mortar shells were launched at an Israeli community in the northern Gaza Strip. No injuries or damage were reported.

Following the recent terror attacks in the Gaza strip and the murder of an Israeli civilian from a Kassam rocket yesterday, the political echelon has decided to divide the Gaza strip into three parts. A roadblock will be constructed west of the Netzarim junction and the passage of the entry of Palestinians will be prohibited through the Gush Katif junction. 

IAF air strike in the southern Gaza Strip

In a security forces operation yesterday night (Thursday) in the southern Gaza strip, the IAF (Israeli Air Forces) attacked a structure belonging to the Hamas terror organization. The structure was part of the organization’s weaponry manufacturing operation in the area.

The structure was being used as a storage facility for weaponry in the city of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.

The IDF is determined to continue operating against any terror organization and those who assist them and will defend the citizens of the State of Israel.
