The EU Secretary-General is coming to Israel as part of a regional visit including Jordan, Egypt, and the Palestinian Authority.

The EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy and Secretary-General of the Council of the EU, Javier Solana, will visit Israel tomorrow (January 13), as part of a regional tour that will also include Jordan, Egypt and the Palestinian Authority.
During his visit, Javier Solana will meet with Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, Vice Premier Shimon Peres, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Industry and Labor Ehud Olmert, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom, and Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz.
Mr. Solana’s visit will focus on the situation in the region, in the wake of the elections in the Palestinian Authority and the bilateral relations between Israel and Europe, with an emphasis on regional issues and the joint struggle against the threat of terrorism.
