The National Security Council Counter-Terrorism HQ has today (Thursday), 4 August 2005, issued the following statement:

“An NSC Counter-Terrorism HQ travel warning regarding Jordan has been in place for some time. In the wake of concrete information, terrorist threats in Jordan have increased, including in regard to Israeli targets, tourists and tourist sites. In light of these concrete threats, the NSC Counter-Terrorism HQ recommends that Israeli citizens refrain from traveling to Jordan except as transit passengers on Royal Jordanian Airlines via Queen Alia International Airport.”
