Prime Minister Ariel Sharon this evening (Saturday, 23 July 2005) telephoned Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and expressed both his condolences and those of the Israeli people over the terrorist bombing attack in Sharm e-Sheikh on Friday night, in which some 90 persons were murdered and 200 wounded. The prime minister said that it is forbidden to compromise with Islamist  terrorism and added that it must be fought in every way.

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak thanked Prime Minister Sharon for his condolences and said that Israel and Egypt would cooperate in the war on terrorism.
