Prime Minister Ariel Sharon spoke this evening (Tuesday), 8 February 2005, with Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom and updated him on his talks at the Sharm el-Sheikh summit. Prime Minister Sharon thanked Foreign Minister Shalom for his ramified efforts regarding the return of the Egyptian and Jordanian ambassadors.

Prime Minister Sharon will on Thursday, 10 February 2005, convene the team of seven ministers in order to consult with them on the continuation of the talks with the Palestinians.

The Ministerial Committee on the Release of Prisoners will convene on Sunday, 13 February 2005, before the weekly Cabinet meeting, in order to discuss the release of the 500 prisoners who were decided upon last week. The Committee is chaired by Prime Minister Ariel Sharon; the other members are Vice Premier Shimon Peres, Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom, Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz, Public Security Minister Gideon Ezra, Justice Minister Tzipi Livni and Minister Haim Ramon.
