Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos of Spain will visit Israel on Wednesday, 7 September, as the guest of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Silvan Shalom.
In addition to meeting with his Israeli counterpart, the visiting foreign minister will meet with the Israeli president, prime minister, vice premier and other officials.
The talks will include bilateral issues as well as regional and international topics. The beginning of 2006 will mark twenty years since Israel and Spain established diplomatic relations. The event will be celebrated with various activities, with the aim of enhancing and strengthening the bilateral relations between the two states.
