FM Livni will discuss the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Tzipi departed on Tuesday evening (August 22) for a brief visit to Paris and Rome.
In France, FM Livni will meet with Prime Minsiter Dominque de Villepin, her counterpart Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy, Minister of the Interior Nicolas Sarkozy, and other figures. She will also meet with Belgian Foreign Minister Karel de Gucht.
On Thursday she will meet in Rome with Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi and with Foreign Minister Massimo d’Alema.
In the course of the visit, Foreign Minister Livni will discuss the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, including the immediate and unconditional release of the abducted Israeli soldiers and the deployment of the international force in southern Lebanon.
