The photo exhibition "Face to Face" at the Knesset sums up 60 years of history and friendship between Israel and France.
On the occasion of the visit to Israel of French President Nicolas Sarkozy, a special photo exhibition entitled "Face to Face" will open on Monday, 23 June 2008 at the Knesset, summing up 60 years of history and friendship between Israel and France. The exhibition will present photos of important people from both countries who influenced relations between France and Israel. The curator of the exhibition is the artist Avraham Eilat.
The exhibition was produced by the France-Israel Foundation, established on the joint initiative of then President Jacques Chirac and Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, in order to enhance relations between the people of Israel and France and to further develop bilateral ties in economic, scientific and social fields.
The exhibition is displayed in the Knesset with the cooperation of the Israel Foreign Ministry, the France-Israel Foundation, and the Chairman of the Israel-France Parliamentary Friendship Association, MK David Tal. MK Tal, who is hosting the exhibition in the Knesset, noted: "The exhibition is a milestone symbolizing the strong friendship between Israel and France."
