Israel is guided by Israel’s security and humanitarian considerations affecting the residents of Ghajar.

(Communicated by the Foreign Minister’s Bureau)

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Avigdor Liberman toured Ghajar village, in the Mt. Dov area, today and observed the Shaba Farm. He met with the Ghajar Council head, Ahmed Fetal, council members and the head of the Upper Galilee Regional Council, Aharon Valency.

FM Liberman said at the meeting that, concerning Ghajar, Israel is guided by two considerations: Israel’s security, and humanitarian considerations affecting the residents of the village. He added that he had not yet decided what to recommend to the prime minister, and that any decision would try to take into account as much as possible the desires of the residents.
