Deputy Foreign Minister Daniel Ayalon met in Jerusalem on Tuesday, 16 March, with the Chinese ambassador in Israel, Zhao Jun. The two discussed the Iranian threat. The Chinese ambassador told Ayalon that China is unequivocally opposed to a nuclear Iran. Ayalon and Zhao Jun agreed to tighten diplomatic cooperation, especially before the upcoming UN Security Council resolution on sanctions against Iran.

DFM Ayalon also discussed with HE Zhao Jun the importance of their countries’ bilateral relations and trade. Since 1992, when diplomatic relations were established, mutual trade has grown from 50 million to 6 billion USD.
