Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of foreign Affairs Avigdor Liberman will leave this evening (Thursday, 2 September 2010) on an official visit to Cyprus.

FM Liberman will meet in Limassol with Cypriot Foreign Minister Marcos Kyprianou and with the head of the opposition party Nicos Anastasiades. FM Liberman will also participate in additional meetings.

FM Liberman and FM Kyprianou will discuss various regional issues. In continuation of the strengthening bilateral relationship, the two will also discuss increased cooperation on security and economic issues.

FM Liberman is expected to return to Israel on Saturday evening.
