 Gaza Strip land crossings weekly status report-August 22-28,  2010

Following the Cabinet’s June 17 decision, Israel has increased the capacity of the crossings by 210% so that  250 truckloads may enter the Gaza Strip on a daily basis.

During the month of Ramadan, the crossing will operate until 15:00, following the PA’s request.

DETAILED CROSSING ACTIVITY

Overall, 1074 truckloads (24,288 tons) were unloaded at the crossings.

Erez
170 Int. Org. staff members entered Israel.
146 Int. Org. staff members entered the Gaza Strip.
246 patients and accompanying individuals crossed into Israel and the West Bank.

Kerem Shalom
865 truckloads (15,816 tons) were imported to the Gaza Strip.
1,697,598 liters of heavy-duty diesel fuel for the power plant were transferred.
743 tons of cooking gas were transferred.

Karni Conveyor
209 truckloads (8,472 tons) were delivered to the Gaza Strip.
