 Gaza Strip land crossings weekly status report-August 8-12,  2010

Following the Cabinet’s June 17 decision, Israel has increased the capacity of the Kerem Shalom crossing by 210% so that  250 truckloads may enter the Gaza Strip on a daily basis.

During the month of Ramadan, the crossing will operate until 15:00, following the PA’s request.

DETAILED CROSSING ACTIVITY

Overall, 1,134 truckloads (25,741 tons) were unloaded at the crossings.

Erez
215 Int. Org. staff members entered Israel.
180 Int. Org. staff members entered the Gaza Strip.
310 patients and accompanying individuals crossed into Israel and the West Bank.

Kerem Shalom
928 truckloads (17,711 tons) were imported to the Gaza Strip.
1,123,475 liters of Heavy-Duty Diesel for the power plant were transferred.
880 tons of Cooking Gas were transferred.
219,999 liters of Gasoline for transportation (UNRWA) were transferred.

Karni Conveyor
206 truckloads (8,030 tons) were delivered to the Gaza Strip.
