 Israel and UNIFIL hold fourth round of talks regarding Ghajar

The fourth round of talks in the negotiations between Israel and UNIFIL concerning the northern section of the village of Ghajar were held today (23 February 2010) at the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem.

The session opened with a meeting of the head of the Israeli delegation, MFA Director General Yossi Gal, and UNIFIL commander Maj. General Alberto Asarta Cuevas of Spain. This meeting was followed by a detailed discussion by the two delegations which focused primarily on the civilian aspects of the issues on the agenda.

The talks were held in a positive and constructive atmosphere. Both sides reiterated their commitment to continue and to hold the next round of talks soon.
