 Israel-Turkey political dialogue

The Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Ambassador Yossi Gal, met today (Sunday, May 2, 2010) with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Ambassador Feridun Sinirlioğlu, in order to continue the ongoing political dialogue between the two countries.

The two sides held in-depth discussions on a range of bilateral and regional issues and the peace process. In addition, means of strengthening and broadening the bilateral relationship on political, economic, commercial and cultural issues and mutual high level visits were discussed.

During the discussions, which were held in a positive and warm atmosphere, the two sides reiterated the importance of the relationship to both countries and to the region, and of their confidence in the stability of the relationship.

Both sides agreed to hold the next bilateral discussion in Ankara in November 2010.
