Israeli PM Netanyahu met with representatives from the Palestinian side who gave him a letter from President Abbas.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his personal envoy, attorney Yitzhak Molcho, on Tuesday evening, 17 April 2012, at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Jerusalem, met with Saeb Erekat and Majad Faraj (head of Palestinian Authority General Intelligence).
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to release the following statement:
"Israel and the Palestinian Authority are committed to achieving peace. This evening, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with representatives from the Palestinian side who gave him a letter from President Abbas. Within two weeks, a letter from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be given to President Abbas. Both sides hope that this exchange of letters will help find a way to advance peace."
