IDF (Zahal) military police soldiers captured two Palestinians armed with 10 explosives, an improvised pistol, and approximately 100 bullets at the Salem crossing in northern Samaria on Monday (January 16).

The two Palestinians acted suspiciously, were arrested by the soldiers and taken for further investigation by security forces.

Last week, at the same site, a Palestinian armed with 11 explosives, a pistol and bullets was arrested. The Palestinian was taken for questioning.

In 2011, 10,000 similar incidents took place at the various crossings in Judea and Samaria and terror attacks were prevented by IDF (Zahal) military police.

Lt. Col. Erez Reben, commander of a military police battalion said the soldiers are “stationed at 40 different crossings in Judea and Samaria, performing security checks professionally and remaining alert.”
