Monthly crossing report shows that 5,390 trucks entered Gaza Strip from Israel in November

During the month of November, 5,390 trucks carrying 149,165 tons of goods entered the Gaza Strip from Israel through the Kerem Shalom crossing.
Of the trucks, 2,521 were carrying food, 19 were carrying construction materials, 127 were carrying agricultural inputs, 19 were carrying clothes and footwear, 41 were carrying electric products, 33 were carrying sports equipment, vehicles, washing machines and refrigerators and 32 were carrying ceramics and plumbing. Transportation of cooking gas into the Gaza Strip continued with 3,187 tons.
The transfer of goods to Gaza is coordinated by the Israeli government and IDF (Zahal) as well as Palestinian and international organizations.
176 building projects run by the international community in the Gaza Strip have been approved. 35 projects have been completed and 70 additional projects are in progress.
During November, 2,795 Palestinians entered Israel from the Gaza Strip via the Erez Crossing with the help of COGAT (Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories). 1,336 exit permits for medical treatment were issued.
During the month, 1,340 Palestinian businessmen exited the Gaza Strip.
COGAT assists in matters of health, education, agriculture and infrastructure on a daily basis.
COGAT is a unit within the IDF (Zahal) responsible for transport of aid into the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. It works with the Coordination and Liaison Administration (CLA) of the Gaza Strip and West Bank’s Civil Administration to facilitate entrance of supplies such as gas, building materials, electrical appliances, ceramic parts, wheat and other foods, hygienic products and more.
