During the night, disturbances and gunfire continued throughout the territories:
In Jericho, Palestinians burnt the ancient “Peace on Israel” synagogue and sought to prevent firefighters from reaching the site. In response to this incident, IAF helicopter gunships attacked the Palestinian Police Academy base in Jericho. Furthermore, there was stone throwing in Jericho.
Helicopter gunships fired last night into unpopulated areas in : Salfit, Harat a – Sheikh, Abu Sneina, west of Beit Hagai (Judea) and in the Nablus area.
An Israeli civilian was lightly wounded when stones were thrown at the car he was travelling in near the Habala junction in the Kalkiliya area. Two other Israeli civilians were lightly wounded this evening near the Hizme checkpoint.
Shooting incidents were reported at the following locations:
Shots were fired at the Jewish community in Hebron, including at Beit Hadassa in Hebron. An exchange of fire took place between Palestinians and IDF soldiers in Hebron. In response IAF helicopter gunships later fired at the sources of Palestinian fire.
Shots were fired at the Tulkarem District Coordinating Office (DCO). IDF forces returned fire towards the sources of the shooting.
Shots were fired at Border Police in Tulkarem and in the Ramallah area. Fire was returned; there were no casualties.
Shooting upon an IDF position in Tel Arras. The fire was returned.
In the vicinity of Kohav Hashachar in Binyamin (north east of Jerusalem), shots were fired at an IDF force near Ein Samia. The IDF returned fire.
In all of these incidents there were no casualties.
The Gaza Strip
Mobs of Palestinians gathered and threw Molotov cocktails towards Kfar Darom. Shots were also fired. The IDF returned fire against the towards the sources of the shooting.
Additionally, Molotov cocktails were thrown at an IDF position on the Israel-Egyptian border near Rafiah.
