Brigadier General Avi Mizrachi

Brigadier General Avi Mizrachi is a graduate of the IDF military secondary school, (he completed his studies in 1975), and holds a bachelors degree in business administration from the Pace University of New York. Brigadier General Mizrachi is married with three children and lives in Zichron Ya’acov.

In October ’75 he enlisted into the IDF Golani reconnaissance unit.At a later stage, he was reoriented to the armored corps, and filled the following positions:

– Company commander in “Bnei Or” formation.
– Deputy battalion commander and later battalion commander of armored corps officers course.
– Deputy brigade company commander of “Bnei Or” formation.
– Commander and co founder of a reserve armored brigade.
– Commander of “Iron tracks” formation.
– Army representative in Tradock in the United States.

During the years 82′ – 88′ Brigadier General Mizrachi was discharged released from the IDF and worked as a security official in the GSS abroad.

In his last position Brigadier General Mizrachi served as Commander of the “Pillars of Fire” formation.

Brigadier General Zvika Gendelman

Brigadier General Gendelman was born in 1956. In 1974, he began his compulsory service in the IDF, joining the Armored Corps.

In 1975, he completed the Armor Corps Tank Commander’s Course

In 1976, he received his Commission as an Officer and Platoon Commander. Upon completion of the Company Commander’s course, he became a Company Commander.

In 1978, during the Litani Operation he served as a Company Commander.

In 1982, he was promoted to Major and during the Peace for Galilee Operation, served as a Battalion General Staff Officer.

In the years 1983-1984, he was promoted to Lt. Colonel and was appointed as a battalion commander.

From 1985-1986, he attended the IDF Command and General Staff College.

In 1986-1987, served as commander of Armored Officers Course.

From 1987-1988 he was Deputy Brigade Commander of an Armored Brigade.

In 1988, he was promoted to Colonel and received command of an Armored Brigade.

From 1989 to 1990, he was appointed Commander of the Armor Corps Officer’s Training Course.

Between 1990-1992 he commanded Brigade 7

From 1992-1994, he commanded the training division of the Armored Corps

From 1995-1996, he attended the IDF National Defense College.

Between 1996-1997 he earned a Master’s Degree in Political Science and National Security.

In 1997, he was promoted to Brig. General, and was Commander of a Reserve Division and commanded the Armor Corps Company and Battalion Commander’s Course.

In May 1998, Brig. General Gendelman was appointed Division Commander of the Golan Heights.

Brig. General Gendelman lives in Hadera with his wife Nancy and their four children.
