Brig. Gen. Zvi Vaksberg was born in 1954.He began his military service in November 1977 and served as a Personnel NCO in a reserve brigade in the Sinai Desert during the Yom Kippur War. After the Yom Kippur War he was sent to IDF Officers School.
His many duties included that of commander of the reserve personnel officer of the “Pillar of Fire” and head of the reinforcement branch on the IDF Induction Center.
In September 1990 he was appointed Personnel officer of the Southern Command, and in November 1994 he was appointed head of organization and control department personnel directorate.
Since 1997 Brigadier General Zvi Vaksberg served as the Adjutant General.Brigadier General Vaksberg holds a BA in Economics and Logistics from the Bar Ilan University, and will complete his MA in Business Management in March 2002. He is married and is the father of three children.
