In a ceremony held on Wednesday (Apr. 27), the Chief of Staff handed out certificates of excellence to 50 outstanding IDF (Zahal) officers who brought unique contributions to the army and serve as an example in the IDF (Zahal)

A ceremony honoring officers receiving certificates of excellence for the present Jewish year from the Chief of Staff was held on Wednesday (Apr. 27) at the Command and Staff base in Glilot’s hall. 50 officers from various IDF (Zahal) units received certificates of excellence in the ceremony for their outstanding, unique contributions and for serving as an example for the army.
The ceremony was held in the presence of the Chief of the General Staff, Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz with participation by members of the General Staff and Corps commanders. Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz, personally gave officers their certificates of excellence.
“There are security challenges and key operations ahead of us. The lack of stability in the Middle East and extreme nations’ acquiring of nuclear weapons, in addition to terrorist activity and the possibility of war force the State of Israel, who has always aimed for peace, to have a powerful army, ready and able for every mission,” said Lt. Gen. Gantz.
According to the Chief of Staff, “This power is based, above all, on the quality of people and the highest level of professionalism. You, the outstanding officers, bring excellence to professionalism.”
