Chief of Staff: "Preparation and human quality are essential"

Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gantz spoke at a ceremony for new professional officers

114 professional officers intended for staff and command positions, the largest number in IDF (Zahal) history, successfully completed training on Wednesday (August 17).

At the graduation ceremony, Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz spoke, “We must take responsibility for the use of our resources and examine more efficient options for maximal optimization. We can do this by being aware of the challenges ahead and remembering that the IDF (Zahal)’s preparation and human quality are essential for Israel’s existence.”

“Along with defending Israel’s security we must also maintain and nurture the human quality, which determines our success and ensures our preparation for every operation,” Lt. Gen. Gantz continued, “additionally we must create a systematic response infrastructure for the IDF (Zahal)’s technological and weaponry needs now and in the future.”

The new officers were exposed the different units and parts of the IDF (Zahal) and acquired knowledge in professional fields including, building and operating powers, command and leadership, strengthening their identity as IDF (Zahal) officers, professionalism in administrative work, routine national security and inter-unit cooperation.
