A truck in which, a man, two women and a baby arrived at the Tayassir Roadblock in the north of Samaria on Monday, July 10, in the afternoon. With their arrival at the roadblock, the man requested from the soldiers at the roadblock to allow one of the women giving birth to reach a hospital.

The soldiers obliged the request as the woman was in need of medical attention, and allowed her to pass from the truck to a Palestinian taxi that waited on the other side of the roadblock. The taxi immediately left in the direction of Tubas, which has a hospital.

The IDF has clear orders to allow Palestinians to pass roadblocks when humanitarian aid is required in order to receive it as quick as possible. IDF soldiers perform minimal security checks and try not to delay humanitarian and medical emergencies.
