Palestinians opened fire from a car at an IDF (Zahal) post on Route 443

A terror attempt occurred on Tuesday night (Mar. 2) on Route 443, the highway connecting Tel Aviv, Modi’in and Jerusalem. Palestinians driving in a vehicle next to an IDF (Zahal) post close to the village of Beit Ur al-Tahta, opened fire at the present IDF (Zahal) soldiers with an automatic firearm. The terror operatives then escaped into one of the villages in the area. No casualties were caused in the incident.

Monday: IDF (Zahal) forces identified terrorists planting explosive device close to Gaza security fence

In additional incident on Monday afternoon (Mar. 1), IDF (Zahal) forces identified a group of terror operatives planting an explosive device close to the security fence in the northern Gaza Strip. The IDF (Zahal) forces opened fire at them, which killed one and injured two terror operatives. The squad was part of the Popular Resistance Committees.

During a search in the area later on, an RPG missile was fired at the IDF (Zahal) soldiers. No casualties or damages were reported. The IDF (Zahal) forces uncovered mortar shells and additional weaponry in the area, which were intended to be used in terror attacks against IDF (Zahal) soldiers and Israeli civilians.
