According to instructions by the Defense Minister and following assessments by security forces, a general closure has been implemented in the Judea and Samaria region for Israel’s Memorial Day and Independence Day. The closure began on Saturday (May 7) at 23:59. The closure will be lifted on Tuesday night (May 10) 23:59.

During the closure, anyone in need of medical attention, humanitarian aid or special assistance will be permitted to pass for care after authorization by the Civil Administration.

Journalists will also be permitted to pass through. As always, the IDF (Zahal) Spokesperson’s Unit strongly suggests that entrance into the Judea and Samaria region be coordinated in advance.

The IDF (Zahal) will continue to operate in order to defend the citizens of Israel while maintaining the quality of life for the Palestinian population in the area.
