An IDF delegation, from the IDF Home Front Recovery and Rescue School, returned today (25 September) from Turkey, ending a months stay. The delegation numbering 14 officers and NOC’s trained some 50 officers and warrants form the Turkish army.
These officers, will be the core of a rescue force, meant to give a quick response in cases of massive disaster, with the goal of saving lives.
During the course, many drills as well as work with mechanical and engineering equipment and learning rescue skills. OC Home Front Command, Maj. Gen. Gabi Ophir attended the final drill and the concluding ceremony.
