The IAF successfully struck weapons manufacturing sites and weapons storage facilities in the northern, central and southern Gaza Strip. The strikes are in response to Qassam rocket fire on Thursday.

IDF (Zahal) Spokesperson reported that on Thursday night an IAF aircrafts successfully struck a weapons manufacturing site in the northern Gaza Strip, a weapons manufacturing site in the central Gaza Strip and two weapons storage facilities in the southern Gaza Strip. Precise hits of terror targets were identified. All aircrafts returned safely to their base. l

The strikes are in response to the rocket firing on Thursday. Nearly 20 rockets and mortars were fired at Israel from the Gaza Strip during March, killing one man in the community of Netiv Ha’Asara and doubling the number of rockets fired this year. Overall, more than 40 rockets and mortars were fired at Israel since the beginning of 2010.

The IDF (Zahal) will not tolerate any attempt to harm the citizens of the State of Israel and will continue to operate firmly against anyone who uses terror against it. The IDF (Zahal) holds Hamas as solely responsible for maintaining peace and quiet in the Gaza Strip.
