Early on Wednesday morning (Apr. 6), Israeli Air Force aircraft launched precision strikes on two terrorist tunnels in the northern Gaza Strip.

All planes returned to base safely.

The air strikes represent a response to projectiles fired at Israel from the Gaza Strip. In the past month, terrorist organizations have fired 38 rockets and 87 mortar shells at Israel.

The IDF (Zahal) will not tolerate the continuation of rocket and mortar fire from Gaza into southern Israel and will act resolutely against all attempts to harm Israeli civilians. The IDF (Zahal) views the Hamas terrorist organization as responsible for what occurs in the Gaza Strip.
