In a joint IDF (Zahal)-ISA arrest operation in Nablus last night, IDF (Zahal) forces arrested Nasser Mahmoud Rashed Abi Kashk, wanted for severely wounding the Israeli security officer Gilad Zer during a gunfire terror attack in the Israeli community of Yitzhar on March 25th, 2001. Gil Zer was killed in a later terror attack that month.
Abu Kashk, age 29, was wanted for years for his part in many terrorist operations as an Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade terror operative, including various gunfire attacks against IDF (Zahal) forces in Nablus, murdering a Palestinian man in Nablus whom he suspected to be a collaborator with Israel, and most recently communicating and trading large quantities of munitions with terrorist groups who intended to attack security forces.
Abu Kashk will be questioned by security forces.
