Last night an IDF force opened fire, inflicting casualties on suspicious figures crawling toward Netzarim in the northern Gaza Strip, in an area where Palestinian movement is prohibited.
An initial inquiry concluded that the firing was initiated only after the suspects, spotted in an open area, were properly identified by the IDF force.
After inspecting the area, signs of crawling were discovered and a cellular phone was found. It must be noted that the Netzarim is in an area known for many terror attempts against Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers. The IDF expresses regret if any injuries were caused to innocent civilians, and is continuing an investigation into the event.
