The IDF has repositioned itself on the outskirts of the city of Bethlehem, in the past few days, in order to allow for the Christmas ceremonies to take place.
During the Christmas season, the IDF will permit Christian Israeli Arabs to enter Bethlehem by organized transport through Barricade 300, situated in northern Bethlehem. Diplomats, tourists, foreign citizens and members of the press will also be allowed to enter the city. Christian residents of the West Bank holding special passes will also be allowed to enter the city.
The IDF will do everything in its power to ensure that the Christmas celebrations take place without interruptions. The IDF will continue to operate according to security assessments in lieu of the current terror threats.
