An IDF (Zahal) soldier was wounded on Thursday (July 7) when an explosive device blew up near a force of IDF (Zahal) soldiers along the border with the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Earlier this week, terrorists fired at an IDF (Zahal) vehicle performing routine activity near security fence on the border with Gaza. The driver was lightly wounded and the vehicle was damaged.

On Tuesday night, IAF aircraft targeted a tunnel used for terrorist activity in northern Gaza. The airstrike was in response to Qassam rockets that had been fired into Israel from the Gaza Strip in previous days.

Earlier on Tuesday, the IAF targeted a terrorist cell that was preparing to launch rockets at Israel from the central Gaza Strip. The airstrike successfully thwarted the launch attempt.

The IDF (Zahal) will not tolerate any attempt to harm Israeli civilians and IDF (Zahal) soldiers and will continue to operate with determination against anyone who uses terror against the state of Israel.

The IDF (Zahal) holds the Hamas terrorist organization solely responsible for any terrorist activity emanating from the Gaza Strip.
