In response to continued rocket fire, IAF attacks two terror sites

Over 20 rockets were launched at Israel on Sunday (August 21) from Gaza, one hitting a school in Be’er Sheva

In response rocket fire from the Gaza Strip at Israel, IAF aircraft targeted two terror activity sites on Sunday (August 22). The strikes took place in the early afternoon, in both the northern and southern Gaza Strip. Direct hits were confirmed and the IAF aircrafts returned safely to base.

The strikes were a response to over 20 rockets that were fired at Israel Sunday, and the around 100 rockets fired since Thursday (August 18).

Around ten of these rockets were successfully intercepted by the Iron Dome system.

The IDF (Zahal) will not tolerate any attempt to harm Israeli civilians and IDF (Zahal) soldiers, and will not hesitate to respond with strength and determination to any element that uses terror against the Israel, until calm is restored. The IDF (Zahal) holds the Hamas terrorist organization solely responsible for any terrorist activity emanating from the Gaza Strip.
