Israeli Air Force aircrafts targeted two terror sites in the central Gaza Strip on Wednesday (Mar. 16). Direct hits were confirmed and all IAF aircrafts returned to their bases safely.

The attack came in response to projectiles launched at Israeli territory earlier on Wednesday. The latter brought about no injuries nor damage were caused.

Since the onset of 2011, over 50 Qassam rockets, mortar shells and Grad missiles have been fired at Israel’s southern communities and cities.

The IDF (Zahal) will not tolerate any attempt to harm Israeli civilians or IDF (Zahal) soldiers, and will continue to respond harshly to combat terror. The IDF (Zahal) holds the Hamas terrorist organization solely responsible for maintaining the calm in the Gaza Strip and for any terrorist activity emanating from it.
