As part of the willingness to improve the coordination and cooperation between the Israeli and Palestinian firefighting forces, a meeting took place last month between firefighting commanders from the Jenin and Afula sectors.

During the meeting, the commander of the Jenin fire and rescue forces delivered a survey about the activities of the forces under his command, the scope of responsibility of the firefighting stations in his sector, and the existing threats which they are prepared to face.

The firefighting commander of the city of Hadera also provided information about the firefighting array in his sector and the training of the forces under his command. He noted that his forces carry out a seminar every two weeks and that he’d be glad to host the forces from the Palestinian firefighting array at those meetings.

At the end of the meeting, it was decided to promote joint work by carrying out visits in the headquarters of the forces and by performing joint drills.
