Kerem Shalom Crossing to be closed following rocket fire

A rocket fired from the Gaza Strip struck south of Ashkelon this morning

A rocket fired from the Gaza Strip hit south of the Israeli city of Ashkelon (pop. 170,000) earlier today.
Following an Israeli government directive and in light of security assessments, the Kerem Shalom Crossing will be closed. The Erez Crossing will remain open for medical cases, humanitarian aid or exceptional cases.
The Kerem Shalom and Erez Crossings will return to full activity following a government directive.
