The memorial service for Lieutenant General (Ret.) Yitzhak Rabin, will take place tommorow, 6/11/03, at 15:00, on Mount Herzel in Jerusalem.

Lieutenant General (Ret.) Yitzhak Rabin served as OC Northern Command between 1956-1959.

From 1961-1964, Rabin served as deputy IDF Chief of Staff and went on to become the IDF Chief of Staff.

Yitzhak Rabin served as the IDF Chief of Staff during the Six Day War and ended his tenure on December 31, 1967.

In 1974, Rabin became Prime Minister of Israel.

In 1992, Rabin became Prime Minister for the second time also serving as Minister of Defense.

On November 4, 1995, Yitzhak Rabin was assasinated at the end of a rally in Tel-Aviv.
