The memorable 25th anniversary was celebrated by a tour of special sites in the capital city. During the tour of the city, which is undergoing preparations for the sixtieth year since the establishment of the State, the combat soldiers visited the Israel Museum, the Knesset, the Supreme Court and David’s Tower. The battalion commanders also had a chance to visit the Jerusalem Municipality, which supported the brigade throughout the years.

After visiting the many sites and hearing many lectures, the combat soldiers finally arrived at the International Convention Center and had the privilege of dedicating the Brigades heritage room, only recently built in the Center. The heritage room tells the story of the heroism of the brigade, through pictures and private artifacts.

The Nachal Brigade was established in 1982 after it was decided there was a great need for an additional Infantry Corps brigade to help the already operating forces of the Paratrooper, Golani and Givati Brigades. In the past decade the Nachal Brigade has undergone significant changes. Today, it stands as a brigade famous its high-quality infantry battalions, its inclusion of foreigners, and its build up of communities and focus on education.
