The identity of an IDF soldier killed Thursday morning (5 September 2002) in a Gaza Strip bomb attack has been released for publication. Sergeant Aviad Dotan, 21 years old, came from the moshav (farming village) of Nir Galim. He was killed when a large bomb was detonated next to the tank he was in, near the Kissuffim roadblock in the central Gaza Strip.
Sergeant Dotan will be laid to rest on Friday, 6 September 2002, in Nir Galim. The funeral procession will leave from the village’s synagogue at 11:00 a.m., and the graveside service will begin at 11:45 a.m.
