New automated artillery sights to be implemented in reserve battalions, more accurate and faster than previous models. The innovative technology will enable significantly more efficient fire.
The automated systems are based on advanced gyroscope technology and enabled precise ranging within just a few minutes.
“The systems that will be implemented are highly advanced and enable fast, independent fire without any manual calculations,” said an officer at the Ground Forces development unit. “The previous sights required an experienced reconnaissance officer to direct the artillery using calculations and tools scattered on the ground, taking at least 30 minutes. The new automated system prevents human errors as well as saving time and manpower, enabling must faster fire. We can provide any unit accurate artillery within moments,” added the officer.
The plan has already been subsidized and its purchased will be approved soon. The new system is extremely high-tech also in comparison to other automated systems already in use and will later be implemented in regular service units as well.
